Evanston Special Recreation Represents Illinois at Special Olympics USA Games
Evanston Special Recreation had the honor of leading Team Illinois into Husky Stadium for the 2018 Special Olympics USA Games Opening Ceremony earlier this month in Seattle! Congrats to Evanston Special Rec athlete Mike Daugerdas and Team Illinois Basketball, who took home the bronze medal! In addition, Special Recreation Program Coordinator Leonard Woodson coached Team Illinois Bocce and Program Supervisor Matt Nelson coached Team Illinois Track and Field.
Fleetwood-Jourdain Theatre's 'Topdog/Underdog' On Stage July 14-29
Fleetwood-Jourdain Theatre's second play of its 2018 Summertime Season, 'Topdog/Underdog,' by Suzan-Lori Parks, takes the stage July 14-29! Performances are Saturdays at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. at the Noyes Cultural Arts Center.
