Library Teams Up with Better World Books to Accept Book Donations

Book Donations Now Being Accepted at Main Library

Books are the best but sometimes even the best book needs to find a new home. Want to donate books for reuse or recycling? Just deposit your books in the big, green, Better World Books bin which is now available outside the Evanston Public Library, 1703 Orrington Avenue, for convenient 24-hour outdoor dropoff of book donations on the east side of the Library.

Through Better World Books, every book donated will be put to good use. Books are sold online to help raise funds for non-profit literacy organizations -- a portion of the sales of all books donated at the EPL donation site will go to Evanston Public Library.

Better World Books (https://www.BetterWorldBooks.com) is a for-profit social enterprise and a global e-retailer that collects and sells new and used books online matching each purchase with a book donation, Book-for-Book™. Each sale generates funds for literacy and education initiatives in the UK, US, and around the world.
