Summer Starlight Concerts Begin June 5

Starlight concerts collage


Enjoy eight free outdoor performances at parks throughout Evanston as part of the Starlight Concert series! Concerts take place on Tuesdays, June 5 through July 31. Interactive family activities will be offered at 6 p.m. and music will begin at 7 p.m.

Starbucks Equity Forums Set for May 29

On Tues., May 29, the City will host three public equity forums to focus attention locally on the issues raised by the April 12 racial bias incident in a Philadelphia Starbucks. Forums will be held at 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. at the Morton Civic Center.

Memorial Day Holiday Schedule

The City has announced facility closures and service schedules for the Memorial Day holiday weekend. No refuse collections will occur on Mon., May 28. Monday through Thursday trash, yard waste and recycling collections will occur one day later in the week than normal. Friday condo recycling collections will occur on Fri., June 1.

Evanston American Legion Post 42 will host a community reflection and ceremony honoring America's fallen heroes at Patriots Park, located at Sheridan Road and Davis Street, on Mon., May 28 at 10 a.m.
