Consider adding the “Shop Evanston First” sticker to your credit and debit cards as a reminder to consider shopping Evanston first and to show you are a supporter of local business.
Stickers will be available at local merchants, Downtown Evanston and Main Dempster Mile offices, and the economic development office at the Civic Center.
The City of Evanston is hosting a Procurement 101 Workshop on May 11th from 8:30 to Noon. We anticipate approximately 100 small business attendees who will be on hand to learn about how to do business with the City of Evanston, Northwestern University and other large businesses in the community.
This is also an opportunity for small business to network and connect with other small businesses in town to learn about business services available to them including finance, law, insurance, public relations, marketing, bonding, etc.
If you are one of those service providers, and are interested in hosting a booth/table at the event, please email the City of Evanston Purchasing Division - Tammi Nunez (tnunez@cityofevanston.org) or Linda Thomas (lithomas@cityofevanton.org)
Deadline for booth applicants is April 15th.
