Evanston Mayor Stephen Hagerty announced at the State of the City Address that Evanston has been recertified as a 4-STAR Community by the STAR Community Rating System (STAR), the nation’s leading framework and certification program measuring local sustainability.

Friday, April 6 is the Deadline to Submit Nominations for 2018 Preservation & Design Awards!

The Evanston Preservation Commission invites Evanston residents, architects, neighborhood organizations, and builders to nominate projects for the 2018 Evanston Preservation & Design Awards. The deadline for submitting nominations for the 2018 Preservation & Design Awards is Friday, April 6, 2018 by 5 p.m. The application is now available online.

CTA Screens

New CTA Digital Screens Provide Enhanced System Status Information to Better Inform Customers

As part of continuing efforts to improve customer experience, the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) is increasing the real-time service information that it provides to customers on its expansive network of digital advertising screens throughout the CTA rail system. 


The screens include a "Passenger Information Bar" to improve the visibility of larger delays and alerts for customers.
