Evanston Recertified as 4-STAR Community

4-STAR Rating


Evanston has been recertified as a 4-STAR Community by the STAR Community Rating System, the nation’s leading framework and certification program measuring local sustainability. Evanston is the first city in the nation to be recertified under STAR's newest evaluation framework, and is one of only 28 communities nationwide with a 4-STAR rating overall. Other cities with a 4-STAR rating include Austin, Texas; Portland, Oregon; and Washington, DC.

Women's History Month Luncheon March 24

Fleetwood-Jourdain Theatre will present the annual Women's History Month Luncheon on Sat., March 24, from noon until 2 p.m., at Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center. This year's theme is "The Power of a Woman's Story." The free event will feature a complimentary buffet. Supervision will be provided for children age 4 and up. Space is limited; reservations are required.
