Evanston Police Charge Two Offenders in Three Robberies

 EVANSTON POLICE CHARGE TWO OFFENDERS IN THREE ROBBERIES

 

Evanston Police have charged Mario Rucker and Daniel Jones both of Evanston in connection with three robbery incidents.

The first incident was an attempt robbery that took place February 6, 2018 at 1607 Simpson.  In that incident the offenders attempted to enter the victim's vehicle.  The victim fled in her vehicle.

The second incident was an armed robbery that took place on February 6, 2018 at 2122 Foster.  In that incident the offenders robbed a pizza delivery driver. A handgun was used. The offenders took $500.00 USC, cellphone, and wallet.

The third incident was an armed robbery and kidnapping that took place on February 13, 2018 at 1810 Darrow.  In that incident the offenders robbed and kidnapped a pizza delivery driver.  A handgun was used. The offenders took $20.00 USC, credit cards, miscellaneous IDs, wallet, and pizzas.  The offenders initially took the victim's vehicle but got stuck in the snow.  They fled the vehicle leaving the victim in the vehicle.

Aggravated Robbery 720 ILCS 5/18-1

Rucker is not presently charged in the Darrow incident

Rucker is being held without bond.  Next court date is pending.

 

Jones, Daniel

Male/Black 26 years of age

Aggravated Battery (victim 69 YOA) 720 ILCS 5/12-3.05(d)(1)

Possession of Stolen Motor Vehicle 625 ILCS 5/4-103(a)(1)

Jones is being held without bond. Next court date is March 13, 2018 at 1030 AM Skokie Courthouse room 105.

 

The Evanston Police are seeking a third offender in connection with these incidents.
