EVANSTON POLICE INVESTIGATE BODY ALONG METRA TRACKS
On Thursday, February 15, 2018, at approximately 08:06 AM, Metra notified the Evanston Police that an engineer had observed a body along the tracks near Dempster Street. Officers responded and located a body along the north bound Metra tracks on the overpass at Dempster Street. The body appears to be a male white of unknown age. The identity is unknown. The condition of the body is consistent with being struck by a train. It is unknown when the initial incident occurred. Evanston Police Detective Bureau is investigating. There will be some Metra service disruption due to the investigation at the scene.
