Skate Outdoors at Baker, Bent and Leahy Parks!

Outdoor ice skating rinks are now open at Baker Park, Bent Park and Leahy Park! Rink status can change quickly due to weather conditions, so please check the City's website for updates by clicking the link below or calling 847-448-0034. Northwestern's Norris Center ice rink is currently closed and will reopen January 2.

Mayor Hagerty and Lexington Mayor Jim Gray have put bourbon on the line in a "Wildcat Wager," as the Northwestern Wildcats take on the Kentucky Wildcats in this Friday's Music City Bowl in Nashville, Tennessee! If Kentucky wins, Mayor Hagerty agreed to send Mayor Gray a bottle of FEW Spirits bourbon. If Northwestern wins, Mayor Gray will provide Mayor Hagerty with a bottle of Lexington's Town Branch bourbon. Go 'Cats!

Evanston Business District Parking Changes Begin January 2

Starting January 2, parking rates in all Evanston business districts will be $1 per hour and payment will be required between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. Drivers are encouraged to check the meters, as it will take a few weeks for the changes to the meters and pay stations to be completed.

City Announces New Year's Holiday Schedule

The City has announced changes in service delivery and facility schedules in recognition of the New Year's holiday. No recycling or solid waste collections will occur on Mon., Jan. 1. Trash and recycling collections will occur one day later than normal next week.

Dog and cat owners should submit their 2018 Pet Registration by Sun., Dec. 31. You can apply for or renew your pet license online, by mail or in person at the City Collector’s Office.
