Bringing the Library into Our Community of Seniors

Three Crown Readers

“I can’t tell you how important this is to us,” says Netta Rattenborg of the Evanston Public Library’s monthly visit to Three Crowns Park senior living community . 

“I grew up on a farm in Nebraska where the library was a wall of books in the local drug store. I read every one of them,” her friend Verniel Lundquist says as they discuss books brought to them by Community Engagement Librarian, Jill Skwerski.

'We are constantly exploring the frontiers of what equitable access to resources means," say Jill Skwerski who manages outreach programs to seniors and other groups in Evanston.
