Donate to the 2017 Holiday Food & Toy Drive!

Holiday Food & Toy Drive


Donations are now being accepted for the Mayor's 2017 Holiday Food & Toy Drive. New, unwrapped toys and non-perishable food items can be dropped off at locations throughout the city. In addition, financial contributions are being accepted online and by mail. Thank you for your generosity this holiday season!

Veterans Day Ceremony on Saturday

Veterans Day


Pay tribute to our veterans this Sat., Nov. 11 at Patriots Park, located at Sheridan Road and Davis Street. Assembly will begin at 10 a.m., and the ceremony will start at 10:30 a.m.

Composting Service Now Available

Evanston residents are now eligible to receive food scrap composting service through the City’s exclusive hauler, Collective Resource. Visit the Collective Resource website to learn more about the program and sign up.

City Offices Closed for Furlough Day this Friday

Morton Civic Center


Most City offices and facilities will be closed this Fri., Nov. 10 for a furlough day. This action was part of a comprehensive cost-saving plan approved by the City Council to help balance the Fiscal Year 2017 budget.
