Sheridan Road Construction Now Complete from Chicago Avenue to Lincoln Street
The City of Evanston’s Public Works Agency is pleased to announce that construction on Sheridan Road, from Chicago Avenue to Lincoln Street, is now complete.
All northbound and southbound lanes have been reopened to traffic. The new two-way bike lane, from Davis to Lincoln Streets, is also open, with final pavement markings expected to be completed by tomorrow, Thursday, October 26. The sidewalk on both the east and west sides of Sheridan Road is open to pedestrians.
Crews will remove the chain link fence along Sheridan Road by the end of this week, beginning at Lincoln Street and continuing south.
This concludes Phase 2 of the project. The third and final phase of the project, from Lincoln Street to Ridge Avenue/Isabella Street, will begin in spring 2018.
