Two open house public meetings will be held in August to review and discuss proposed improvements to Howard Street, from Hartrey/Sacramento Avenue to Callan/Winchester Avenue. The meetings will present identical information, so residents should attend the meeting that is most convenient.
Wednesday, August 2 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Levy Senior Center 300 Dodge Ave., Evanston
Monday, August 28 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. St. Margaret Mary Activity Center 7341 N. Claremont Ave., Chicago
The meetings will be hosted by Evanston 8th Ward Alderman Ann Rainey, the Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT), and Chicago Aldermen Joe Moore (49th) and Debra Silverstein (50th). Representatives from the City of Evanston, the City of Chicago, and the project consultant will be available to discuss the project and answer questions. Comment forms will be available.
Each meeting will include a brief presentation on the need for the project, the design alternatives under consideration, and the project schedule. Aerial maps of existing conditions and exhibits of proposed improvements will be displayed.
Written comments may be emailed to Senior Project Manager Sat Nagar, P.E., at snagar@cityofevanston.org. For more information, please call/text 847-448-4311 or simply dial 3-1-1 while in Evanston.
