Solar Panel Installation Begins at the Ecology Center

Over the next four weeks, the City is contracting solar panel installations at the Evanston Ecology Center, located at 2024 McCormick Blvd. Two solar panels will be installed as a renewable energy demonstration project at the facility. The solar panels used for the project were received as a donation from I-Go Alternative Transportation for Chicagoland. The project is funded through General Obligation Funds for Capital Improvement Projects.

Work began this week, and the project is expected to be completed by late March. Every effort will be made to minimize inconveniences. The Ecology Center will remain open throughout the project.

Contractor
The general contractor for this project is Continental Energy Solutions, located at 815 Commerce Dr., Suite 100, Oak Brook.

City Monitoring
The project is monitored by the City’s Capital Planning & Engineering Bureau. All questions concerning the project should be directed to Project Manager Anil Khatkhate at 847-866-2975.
