Fog Signal House Renovations Begin March 6

Over the next three months, the City of Evanston will contract improvements at the north and south fog signal houses located at 2601 Sheridan Rd. Improvements will include: roof replacement, window and door restoration, tuckpointing and other miscellaneous repairs. The project is funded through the General Obligation Funds for Capital Improvement Projects.

Work is scheduled to begin the week of March 6, 2017 with project completion expected by late May 2017. However, please note that the completion date is contingent upon delivery of roofing materials. Should roofing materials be delivered after the start of summer camp activities, construction work will be suspended until camp programs end in late summer. Every effort will be made to minimize inconveniences during construction.

Contractor
The general contractor for this project is Garland/DBS, Inc., 3800 E. 91st St., Cleveland, OH.

City Monitoring
The project is monitored by the City’s Capital Planning & Engineering Bureau. All questions concerning the project should be directed to Project Manager Anil Khatkhate at 847-866-2975.
