Get Ready for the MSYEP Job Fair March 11

Resume and interview skills workshops will be held to help Evanston youth land their perfect summer job this Sat., Feb. 25, 9 a.m. to noon, and Wed., March 1, 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., at ETHS. The Mayor's Summer Youth Employment Program Job Fair is Sat., March 11, 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at ETHS.

Experience "Le Tour de Noir" this Saturday

Enjoy a tour of Black-owned Evanston businesses followed by a free business expo at the Levy Center this Sat., Feb. 25! Sample food, enjoy live entertainment, and learn about products and services. The bus tour will take place from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., and will leave from the Levy Center. The suggested donation is $20 for adults, and $15 for seniors and children. The business expo will be held from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., and admission is free!

Street Cleaning Season Begins March 1

Street cleaning begins this Wed., March 1. New parking signs installed in 2016 at the beginning and end of each block indicate the specific days and times that parking restrictions are in place (i.e. First Thursday of Month, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.). The City also offers convenient text message and email notifications to remind you to move your vehicle. Sign up online or call/text 847-448-4311.

Voting Information for the February 28, 2017 Primary Election

The Evanston City Clerk’s Office reminds voters of important information for the February 28 Primary Election. Local races include Evanston Mayor and 5th Ward Alderman. Early voting will continue in Room G-300 of the Morton Civic Center, Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., through Mon., Feb. 27. On Tues., Feb. 28, voters should report to their local polling location, which will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. There will be no voting at the Morton Civic Center on February 28.
