2017 Summer Camp Guide Available Online

Summer camps


Evanston's 2017 Summer Camp Guide is now available for viewing online! Printed guides will be distributed to Evanston public and private schools the week of January 16. This year, a new, simpler camp registration process will begin online and at the Robert Crown Community Center on Sat., Feb. 4, from 8 a.m. to noon. No more waiting for camp lottery results! For more information, see page 3 of the guide.

Outdoor Ice Skating Now Open!

Outdoor ice skating


Outdoor ice rinks are now open at all three Evanston locations: Ackerman Park, Baker Park, and Arrington Lagoon at Dawes Park. As weather conditions change, visit the City's website for rink updates.

The Evanston Ecology Center's Indoor Winter Farmers' Market will be open every Saturday, 8 a.m. to noon, through April 29. Shop for fresh produce, bakery items, coffee and other local goods.

Evanston Honors Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. January 14

MLK "I Have a Dream"


On Sat., Jan. 14, at noon, all are invited to the City's “Day of Celebration Honoring the Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.” at the Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center. The event will pay tribute to Dr. King through music, dance and excerpts from his speeches. Admission is free and open to the public.
