Shop Evanston on Small Business Saturday!

Shop Evanston on Small Business Saturday, November 26! Start your day with brunch and lunch specials at Evanston restaurants, and then take advantage of discounts and promotions throughout the city! A free trolley will run from noon to 5 p.m., making it easy to visit your favorite Evanston stores. Free parking will be available in downtown parking garages.

Help spread holiday cheer to Evanston families in need! The City is seeking food, toys and financial donations for the eighth annual Holiday Food & Toy Drive. Contribute online or donate items at one of the many drop-off locations throughout the city by Fri., Dec. 9.

'Tis the Season for Free Holiday Parking!

Free


Take advantage of free evening and weekend parking in downtown self-park garages this holiday season! Beginning Thurs., Nov. 24 through Mon., Jan. 2, free parking will be provided in the Sherman Plaza, Maple Avenue, and Church Street parking garages on weekdays, between 5 p.m. and midnight, and all day on Saturdays. Parking in Evanston garages and lots is always free on Sundays.

Reminder: Thanksgiving Holiday Schedule

In recognition of the 2016 Thanksgiving holiday, no refuse collections will occur on Thurs., Nov. 24. Thursday's trash, yard waste and recycling collections will occur on Fri., Nov. 25. Friday condo recycling collections will occur on Sat., Nov. 26. A schedule of City facility hours is available online. Have a great Thanksgiving!

The City’s Public Works Agency has extended yard waste pick-up through Thurs., Dec. 8. Yard waste will continue to be collected on residents’ normal refuse pick-up day.
