Family Reading Night Brings Jesse White and Free Books
The Evanston Public Library will hold a special Family Reading Night: Jammie Time with
special guest, Secretary of State and Illinois State Librarian, Jessie White, on Thursday, November 17 at 7pm in the Main Library Children's Room. Secretary White will read a story to the kids and give away a free book to every attendee.
Children ages 2 to 9 and their parents/caregivers are invited to the library in pajamas to enjoy a fun mix
of stories and songs with Mr. Brian and our very special guest. (Note: Pajamas are not mandated by the State or the Library!) No registration is required.
Family Reading Night is sponsored in cooperation with iREAD,
a program of the Illinois Library Association, and Illinois
Reads, a project of the Illinois Reading Council.
About the Evanston Public Library
For more than 140 years, the Library has provided educational, culturally-rich
resources for all residents, helped children prepare for school through
the joys of reading and learning, celebrated Evanston’s diversity, and
helped residents find information they seek. The Library is more than a
building of books; it is a place to meet, connect, learn and explore. To learn more, visit www.epl.org.
