Starlight Movie Tonight at Ryan Field!

NU Movie Night at Ryan Field

Evanston’s 2016 Starlight Movies in the Park series begins tonight, Thurs., July 21 with a special showing of “The Good Dinosaur” by Northwestern Athletics at Ryan Field! Arrive as early as 5:30 p.m. to catch Pokémon within Ryan Field! The movie will begin at 7 p.m. Admission is free, and complimentary popcorn and Coca-Cola beverages (while supplies last) will be provided. Blankets are allowed on the playing surface, but chairs are prohibited in order to protect the grass.

Heat Advisory! Cooling Centers Open July 21-23

Heat alert

With excessive heat expected in the area over the next several days, community members are encouraged to take preventive actions to avoid heat-related illness and to check on those at risk, especially elderly individuals. Residents can get relief from the heat at cooling centers across the city.
