 EVANSTON, ILLINOIS - On Tuesday, July 12, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., community
members are invited to attend the 2016 Food Truck Fest and Starlight Concert at
Brummel Park, located on Brummel St. at Elmwood Ave. Attendees will get to
enjoy delectable delights from 10 food trucks and the music of R-Gang, one of Chicago's
best R&B dance bands.
Guests are encouraged to arrive early and hungry to purchase
various menu items from food trucks, including Amanecer Tacos, Babycakes, Cheesie's, Chicago Cupcake, Chicago Pizza Boss, Grill Chasers, Happy Lobster Truck, Pierogi Wagon, Piko Street Kitchen and Tamale Spaceship.
R-Gang specializes in R&B, funk and soul from the Motown era into the 21st century. They have played with national acts such as Survivor and Mavis
Staples, wrote and recorded for the The Doobie Brothers and Buddy Guy, and performed
as the on-field band for the Chicago Bears and pre-game entertainment for the
Chicago Bulls. The
concert will take place from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
