Fountain Square Art Festival this Weekend!

Fountain Square Art Fest

View eclectic works from more than 200 juried artists, enjoy live jazz music, and sample some of the area's best food at the 37th annual Fountain Square Art Festival this Saturday and Sunday! The event will also feature a children's art tent with fun activities. New this year, adults can purchase tickets for a special craft beer tasting Saturday evening, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. View complete event details online.

NU Summer Cinema Series Begins June 29!

Star Wars

Northwestern University’s family-friendly summer cinema series begins Wed., June 29 with a free showing of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” Films will be screened at dusk (around 9 p.m.) each Wednesday through July 27 on the East Lawn of the Norris University Center. Enjoy free activities and food items beginning at 7:30 p.m. Every movie event will feature free fresh popcorn and a bubble station!

Register for the ManUp! Men's Health Initiative!

Join the Evanston Health and Human Services Department this Sat., June 25 to kick off the ManUp! men’s health initiative! The event will take place from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Robert Crown Park and will help men better understand how to stay healthy, provide health screenings to assess their current health, and include a fun obstacle course. A t-shirt is included with the $5 registration fee.

"Evanston Recycles" Event Set for July 9

Save the date for the City's sixth annual "Evanston Recycles" event on Sat., July 9, from 9 a.m. to noon, at Evanston Township High School. The free “drive up, drop off” event provides residents an opportunity to recycle a variety of items and securely shred documents.

City Awarded Inclusive Transportation Planning Grant

The City has been selected as a grant recipient for the Strengthening Inclusive Coordinated Transportation Partnerships program. The grant provides over $85,000 for the City to conduct inclusive transit planning research and analysis.
