The Unitarian Church of Evanston presents a spectacular
concert on Saturday, May 21, 7 p.m., featuring Howard Levy with Kalyan Pathak,
Larry Gray and Jean Christophe Leroy.
Howard Levy’s Musical Worlds concert will include World
Music, Afro-Cuban sacred chants, Vedic and Jewish traditions, as well as the
music of Bach, original compositions, blues and some free Jazz improvisation –
a truly eclectic program. A variety of instruments will be played from the
west, Africa, India and Asia. Larry Gray, will play cello, bass, piano, flute
and Kalyan. Jean Leroy will play Latin percussion and drums, while Howard shows
his amazing skill playing harmonica, piano and additional exotic instruments.
