EVANSTON, ILLINOIS - Proprietor Alpana Singh this week announced plans to open a new Mediterranean
restaurant, Terra & Vine, in downtown Evanston at 1701
Maple Ave. at Church Street Plaza, in the space formerly occupied by Bravo! Cucina Italiana.
The restaurant, which is expected to debut later in 2016, will feature “refined, rustic Mediterranean
fare with Italian emphasis,” and will include a 115-seat dining room, a 70-seat
outdoor patio for the summer months, and will house an adjacent 40-seat bar, Bar Terra.
“We’re thrilled to bring Terra & Vine and Bar Terra to
the thriving North Shore community,” said Singh in a press release. “I first came to know and love
Evanston while living in Rogers Park. Instead of heading into the city, I would
often go north to Evanston. I was immediately enamored with its charm and
strong sense of community.”
The 10-year host of the Emmy Award-winning PBS television
show, “Check, Please!” also added, “From my years of hosting the show, I
learned that people want good food wherever they are and really appreciate the
ease of being able to enjoy a pleasurable meal in their own neighborhood.”
“I’m pleased to welcome Terra & Vine and Bar Terra to
the City of Evanston and the 2nd Ward,” said 2nd Ward
Alderman Peter Braithwaite. “This establishment is a fantastic addition to the
City’s booming dining and entertainment scene, and will provide great
employment opportunities for Evanston residents.”
Terra & Vine’s culinary team and opening timing will be
announced at a later date. For continued updates, visit terraandvine.com and follow Terra &
Vine on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
