Contribute to the Holiday Food & Toy Drive!

Help local families in need by providing food, toys and financial donations to the annual Holiday Food & Toy Drive through Fri., Dec. 11! The City is currently collecting new, unwrapped toys that encourage physical and/or social activities, in addition to non-perishable food items, at various City locations. Financial contributions can be made online or by mail.


Get Tickets for Tonight's "A Bright Night for the Arts" Celebration!

Tickets are still available for "A Bright Night for the Arts" tonight, Thurs., Nov. 5, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Rotary International! The event will include music, wine, tasty small bites from Eurest, and great networking opportunities. Mayor Tisdahl will present the annual "Mayor's Award for the Arts." This year's recipients are Evanston Art Center (EAC) and puppeteer Marilyn Price.


Vote for Your Favorite Evanston Snow Plow!

Cast your vote for your favorite snow plow design as part of the 10th annual Paint Evanston Plows Contest! Ten schools participated in this year’s contest, including Dawes, Lincoln, Washington, Willard, and Lincolnwood elementary schools; Chute, Haven and Nichols middle schools; and St. Athanasius and Pope John XXIII schools. This year’s theme is “Think Outside the Bag.” 


2016 Wheel Tax Payments and Residential Parking Permits Now Available

Residents may now pay their City of Evanston wheel tax and purchase residential parking permits for 2016. Convenient online payment is available. The deadline to pay the wheel tax and purchase parking permits is Tues., Dec. 15.


Evanston Recognized as a Digital Cities Survey Winner!

For the second straight year, the City of Evanston has been named a Digital Cities Survey Winner by the Center for Digital Government, which recognizes leading examples of cities using technology to improve services and boost efficiencies.
