Memory Project: Word and Image October 7, 14, 21

Brain image

Senior citizens have many years of rich memories to draw from. Visually representing a particular memory is a way to enliven the mind and capture that moment in time.

Seniors will join artist Jennifer Presant and work with paint, magazine cut-outs, and photos to create a collaged work of art that will be greatly cherished. You can begin mapping out various ideas for your artwork through drawing and writing and assembling images from magazines. Photos can be incorporated with favorite poems and words to create either one work of art or a series.

Please bring photos or copies of photos for the session, as well as possible ideas for the project. All other art supplies will be provided. This is a free program, but registration is required. Please sign up at the front desk. The event will have two sessions on Wednesday October 7, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.; one on Wednesday, October 14, 10 a.m. to noon; and one on Wednesday, October 21, 10 a.m. to noon.
