Starlight Movies in the Park

Movies

The Starlight Movies in the Park series features six films shown on select Tuesdays and Saturdays at various city parks throughout the month of August. Each movie begins at dusk and admission is free. 

  • Saturday, August 8: Star Trek at Twiggs Park, Dodge Ave. and Simpson St.
  • Tuesday, August 11: The LEGO Movie at Brummel Park, Brummel St. and Elmwood Ave.

Thursday, August 6

  • Campfire at Lighthouse Beach (7 p.m. - 9 p.m.)
  • High School Open Basketball at Chandler-Newberger Center (7 p.m. - 9 p.m.)
  • Teen Open Ice Skating at Robert Crown Center (6:15 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.)

Friday, August 7

Roller skates
  • Middle School Roller Skating at Fleetwood-Jourdain Center (5 p.m. - 8 p.m.)
  • Open Mic/Drop-In at Fleetwood-Jourdain Center (7 p.m. - 9 p.m.)

Saturday, August 8

  • Middle School Open Basketball at Robert Crown Center (1 p.m. - 2 p.m.)
  • High School Open Basketball at Robert Crown Center (2 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.)
  • Starlight Movie, Star Trek, at Twiggs Park (Dusk)
  • High School Roller Skating at Fleetwood-Jourdain Center (8 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.)
  • Teen Roller Skating at Chandler-Newberger Center (8:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.)

Sunday, August 9

  • Middle School Open Basketball at Levy Center (11 a.m. - 1 p.m.)
  • Adult Open Basketball at Robert Crown Center (1 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.)

Monday, August 10

Volleyball
  • Middle School & High School Open Volleyball at Chandler-Newberger Center (7 p.m. - 9 p.m.)
  • Free Beach Day at Clark St. Beach (10:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.)

Tuesday, August 11

  • Tennis in the Parks at Leahy Park (6 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.)
  • Middle School Open Basketball at Chandler-Newberger Center (7 p.m. - 9 p.m.)
  • Starlight Movie, The Lego Movie, at Brummel Park (Dusk)

Wednesday, August 12
