Free Chef's Demonstration on Wednesday, July 15

Join us on Wednesday, July 15, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., for an exciting Chef’s Demo with the Executive Chef from Lincolnwood Place. The chef will be coming to the Levy Center to do an on-site demo with samples for each participant. This is a free program, but pre-registration is required. Please sign up at the Levy Center front desk.


Experience a Trip to the Mitchell Museum on Tuesday, July 21

On Tuesday, July 21, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., join us as we visit Evanston's Mitchell Museum of the American Indian. The Mitchel Museum brings Native American culture to life through exhibits, programs, presentations and activities. Entry into the museum costs $3 for seniors 65 years and older, and $5 for anyone under the age of 65. Curt's Café is across the street if you'd like to grab a bite to eat.

The Levy Center bus will depart from the Levy Center at 11 a.m. and return at 2 p.m. Please sign up at the Levy Center front desk to reserve your spot, or call 847-448-8250.


Rules of the Road Review Course on Friday, July 24

The Illinois Secretary of State's office will offer a free Rules of the Road Review Course on Friday, July 24, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The course includes a review of safe driving techniques and Illinois driving laws in preparation of taking the written driver's test. Please register at the Levy Center front desk or call 847-448-8250.


Popcorn and a Movie: Watch "Selma" on Friday, July 31

On Friday, July 31, from 12:15 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., stop by the Levy Center for a free viewing of Selma. This unforgettable true story chronicles the tumultuous three-month period in 1965, when Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. led a dangerous campaign to secure equal voting rights in the face of violent opposition. Director Ava DuVernay’s Selma tells the story of how the revered leader and visionary Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and his brothers and sisters in the movement prompted change that forever altered history.
