 To further the Evanston Own It Proclamation, which aims to reclaim communities from youth violence, the faith community will host “Evanston Sings” on Friday, June 19, 7 p.m., at Evanston Township High School, 1600 Dodge Ave. All proceeds from the 250-voice choir concert will be donated to the 2016 Mayor’s Summer Youth Employment Program.  Are you retired, in between jobs, on vacation, or simply on a lunch break and need a spiritual lift? Community members are encouraged to join the Bethany Baptist Church of Christ, located at 1225 Elmwood Ave., for its mid-week Wednesday services from noon to 1 p.m. Please note: Wednesday worship services are held on every second and fourth Wednesday of the month.
