City Employee Named "Volunteer of the Year"
 The City congratulates Housing & Grants Administrator Sarah Flax on receiving the Illinois Council of Orchestras’ Volunteer of the Year Award for her work with the Evanston Symphony Orchestra. Flax was presented with the award on May 31 at Pick Staiger Concert Hall.
"It's Thursday, Let's Dance!" Returns June 11
 Come on out to the only outdoor dance floor north of Chicago! "It's Thursday, Let's Dance!" returns to Downtown Evanston for its 16th year on Thurs., June 11 at 7 p.m. with a performance by Highland Park Pops Big Band at the 909 Davis St. Plaza. All events are free and open to all ages.

Energy Benchmarking Initiative Meeting 6/9
 The Evanston Utilities Commission has launched an initiative to explore the creation of a potential Building Energy Efficiency Benchmarking ordinance. On Tues., June 9, 6 p.m., community members who feel that they would be impacted are invited to attend the first stakeholders meeting in Room 2404 at the Morton Civic Center.
