DuPage County Completes Drainage Improvement Project
The contractor installs new concrete curb to complete the Country Club Highlands Drainage Improvement Project.
Under its Unincorporated Residential Drainage Program, DuPage County Stormwater Management (SWM) recently completed a drainage improvement project in Country Club Highlands in Unincorporated Elmhurst. To alleviate chronic flooding in the area, construction crews installed new storm sewer and associated inlets with increased capacity for stormwater. The project is also the first of SWM's projects completed using federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding. SWM was allocated approximately $22 million in ARPA funds to use for stormwater projects at the county, municipal and township levels.
