Hazardous Waste Collection Facility

DuPage Recycling Efforts

Did you know that DuPage County is home to one of four long-term household hazardous waste collection facilities in the state? Hazardous waste is abundant in households, from fire extinguishers to typical cleaners that fall into the “hard-to-dispose-of” category. For the safety of waste and recycling haulers and the environment, it is important to not place such items in the trash or recycling bin.

The Regional Household Hazardous Waste Facility is located at 156 Fort Hill Drive, Naperville. Any Illinois resident can utilize this facility to dispose of household hazardous waste; business waste cannot be accepted at the site.

The facility is open Saturdays and Sundays (excluding holidays) from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Find out what you can bring and other recycling information by visiting the County’s website:
