FY2018 County Budget Approved with No Property
Tax Increase
The DuPage County Board approved the Fiscal Year 2018 budget without increasing the County portion of the property tax levy for the 10th consecutive year. The County balanced its budget despite a $3.5 million cut in revenue from the state. Click here to view the full budget.
Greg Hart of Burr Ridge has been appointed to a vacant seat in District 3. Hart works as a manager at Deloitte Consulting in Chicago. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Institutional Advancement Committee at Fenwick High School and as the Chicago Co-Chair of Maverick PAC. Hart is filling the seat vacated by John Curran, who was appointed to the state Senate in July. His term expires Nov. 30, 2018.

Cronin, County Board Volunteer at Loaves & Fishes

Chairman Dan Cronin delivered opening remarks at the third annual Transform Illinois conference in Oak Brook. The conference focused on government reform efforts in Illinois and presented its annual Transformer Awards to legislators, municipalities and residents who prioritize and promote shared services, local government collaboration and consolidation, including Lt. Animal Care and Control Committee Chairman Brian Krajewski attended the second annual Clear the Shelters event, a nationwide pet adoption program. DuPage County Animal Care and Control adopted out more than 30 animals at the event!

Commission Honored by Lt. Gov. Sanguinetti
County Board Chairman Dan Cronin, Transportation Committee Chairman Don Puchalski, DOT crews and the County's Ethics Commission received recognition from Lt. Gov. Evelyn Sanguinetti for exemplary intergovernmental cooperation for the County's reforms of the Ethics Ordinance and joint-purchasing contract for road salt. The stories were featured in the Lieutenant Governor’s Journal of Local Government Shared Services Best Practices.
