Don't Overlook These Illinois Tax Credits

A tax credit is an amount you can subtract from the tax you owe. This may lower your tax payment or increase your refund.

Illinois offers several tax credits on your IL-1040, Illinois Income Tax Return.

Choose the credit that you would like to learn more about:

Earned Income Tax Credit
Education Expense Credit
Property Tax Credit
Volunteer Emergency Worker Credit
K-12 Education Expense Credit (student)
K-12 Instructional Materials and Supplies Tax Credit (educator)
