The Illinois Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) is a benefit that helps lower to moderate income workers get a tax break.

Illinois (EITC) has also been increased from 18% to 20% of the Federal EITC.
You qualify if you

- have investment income under $11,000.
- have a valid Social Security number or ITIN by the due date of your 2023 return
(including extensions).
- are at least age 18 by the end of 2023.
