Reminder: 8th Ward Meeting on April 7
Dear 8th Ward Residents,
I want to remind you that the next 8th Ward meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7, at Friendship Park & Conservatory (395 W Algonquin Rd).
Police Chief Dave Anderson will be our guest and will provide an update on public safety in the City of Des Plaines, including recent developments and trends. Chief Anderson will also be available to answer questions and speak about the important work being done by the dedicated members of the Des Plaines Police Department.
Ward meetings are a great opportunity to stay informed about what is happening in our community, ask questions, and share your thoughts. I hope you will join us at next Tuesday's meeting.
In the meantime, please see below for the latest City updates, including an upcoming event and a housing survey for residents.
Sincerely,
Alderman Mike Charewicz

Share Your Input on Des Plaines Housing
The City of Des Plaines is conducting a Housing Study to better understand housing supply, affordability, and future needs. The study uses Census data, local market trends, and community input to identify housing gaps and guide policies and zoning updates.
Your feedback will help shape housing decisions for the next 10–20 years. Whether you rent, own, are looking to move, or run a business, your voice matters.
The survey is available in English, Spanish, and Polish and includes interactive maps so residents can explore local housing trends as they share their input.
Please take a few minutes to complete the survey. Thank you for sharing your perspective.
Together, we can plan housing that works for everyone in Des Plaines.
