Des Plaines Fire Department Urges Caution with Fireworks This Fourth of July
Every year, consumer fireworks cause thousands of burns, extremity injuries, fires, and even deaths. The City of Des Plaines Fire Department urges you to leave fireworks to the professionals and celebrate Independence Day with a safe alternative, such as noisemakers, glowsticks, silly string, bubbles, or confetti.
Learn more about firework safety at nfpa.org/fireworks, and have a happy Fourth of July!
