Springtime Updates for the 4th Ward
Dear 4th Ward Residents,
Spring has officially arrived in Des Plaines! Residents throughout the 4th Ward and across the city are busy cleaning up their yards and organizing their garages. Meanwhile, at the City, we are preparing for another Community Garage Sale this May.
 The 2025 Community Garage Sale will take place Friday, May 2; Saturday, May 3; and Sunday, May 4, from 8 a.m. to sunset, rain or shine. The cost to participate is FREE! All residents can register for the sale at desplainesil.gov/communitygaragesale. Please make sure to register by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29, to be included in the 2025 Community Garage Sale Google Map.
Shoppers can check out our Facebook page on April 30 to view the interactive map and navigation instructions!
 In other springtime news, LRS has begun collecting residential yard waste weekly on residents’ regular garbage collection day. Please limit yard waste to grass clippings, leaves, plant clippings, twigs, small branches, and brush.
