City Offices Closed
City offices will be closed on Monday, February 17 in observance of Presidents Day. Refuse collection will follow its normal schedule and the City Council meeting will take place on Tuesday, February 18.
Snow Removal
During winter weather, home and business owners should clear sidewalks, fire hydrants (clear 3 feet around), and any handicap-accessible parking spaces on their property. For more information, visit desplainesil.gov/snowremoval.
After a two-inch (2") snowfall, it is unlawful to park any vehicle, or to allow any vehicle to remain parked, on snow routes until snow removal operations are completed. View our snow routes at desplainesil.gov/snowmap.

Journal & Topics City Council Candidate Debate
The City of Des Plaines will be broadcasting the Journal and Topics debate for local candidates running in the upcoming April 1 election. Tune in to DPTV or desplainesil.gov/livestream to watch the debate on March 6 at 7 p.m. or attend in-person at Des Plaines City Hall. The public is invited to attend and there is no charge. Questions for the debate can be submitted by local residents via email at journalnews@journal-topics.info.
