2025 Business Registrations Renewals
Keep an eye out for the business registration renewal notification letter. The renewal letter is projected to be sent out in December, and it is important that every business renews their registration every year. All renewals will be through your online account through the customer self-service portal on the City's website. More information to come in the future.
GROWTH Grant Recipient Opens Their Doors
The City welcomes GROWTH grant recipient Brunch City Cafe to our business community! They've recently opened their doors to City Officials and the Des Plaines Chamber of Commerce & Industry to celebrate their ribbon cutting.
At a special meeting on Wednesday November 20, 2024, the City council, staff, and our third-party contractors hosted a workshop to talk about the creation of a Downtown Economic Development Strategic Plan. The public was welcome to see the progress on the plan and to give their input to the contractors, Teska Associates. Another public workshop is tentatively planned for January, with more information to come.
