Martam Construction has completed all concrete work at Douglas Ave (Howard Ave – dead end). The landscapers, McGinty Bros, are currently wrapping up parkway and ditch restoration, which includes topsoil, seed, and straw blanket placement. Any miscellaneous tasks (clean-up work, utility wire restoration, structure adjustments, etc.) will take place periodically in the coming weeks and be added as punch list items to be addressed.
All work at the Laurel-Graceland Alley (Marion-Thacker) has been completed. All garbage bins have been returned back to their original locations, barricades have been removed, and the alley has been opened back up to the public.
Sidewalk, curb, and apron work at the Various Locations will begin with removals within Ward 4 nearing the end of this week and will follow concrete work next week. Various locations within Ward 5 will soon follow after. The contractor is obligated to deliver and notify any affected residents if driveway or walkway access is to be temporarily inaccessible. Please reach out to the Resident Engineer in advance if any handicap accommodations are needed.
There are many locations where the contractor will install temporary No Parking signs. These signs allow the contractor to access the replacement areas. Please be mindful of these signs and do not block the work area during the posted times. The signs will be removed as soon as the work is complete.
Thank you for your cooperation and patience during the construction.
