5th and Rose Avenue
We love our neighborhood and we bet you do too. That’s why we’re coordinating what will hopefully be the first of many annual Community Spring Clean-up days. Because what would make spending time outside preparing for a new season even better? Doing it together!
So join us as we all step out of hibernation to beautify our neighborhood as a team: - Pick up trash, fallen branches, and leaf debris - Take down holiday decorations - Lend a hand to a neighbor as they tidy up their property - Donate non-perishable food items to the Pantry of Des Plaines (current needs are cooking oil, pasta sauce/noodles, pancake mix, and non-condensed soup)
When: Saturday, March 23rd from 10am-12pm We’ll be coming around with yard waste bags donated by our local Ace Hardware and gathering contact info for the raffle. Make sure to be outside during the 2 hours so we don’t miss you! Each household involved may have one entry to our raffle for great prizes such as a $100 Ace Hardware gift card, two $50 Pesche’s gift cards, two 16” pizzas from Giuseppe’s, $25 Beacon Tap gift card, bird feeder from The Wildbird Shack, or an “I Love Des Plaines” t-shirt from the Des Plaines History Center.
We’re excited to meet some new people and see our neighborhood come alive! Text Amanda at 847-560-1801 to let us know that you’re participating or with questions. If it rains, snows, or is below 40 degrees, we will reschedule for the following Saturday.
