Property Updates on the Agenda
There are a few properties the City has been interested in. They are listed below.
SECOND READING – ORDINANCE M-3-23: Consideration of the Acquisition, Through Condemnation of Fee Simple Title, to the Property Located at 1504 Miner Street. This is the Old Leonas property.
RESOLUTION R-119-23: Authorizing the Purchase of 1488 and 1490 Miner Street, Des Plaines, Illinois. These properties are the two between the theater and Miner Street Tavern. This will allow us to continue with making that strip an entertainment area for everyone.
RESOLUTION R-125-23: Approving the Purchase and Sale Agreement for the Purchase of Property at 1327 East Oakton RESOLUTION R-126-23: Approving the Purchase and Sale Agreement for the Purchase of Property at 1333East Oakton.
These 2 properties listed above are next to the Fire station 62. This will allow the city to build a new fire station and keep the same location.
Graceland-Webford Project Update
The Developer for the Graceland Webford Project is coming before City Council to ask for an extension of the timeline in the purchase agreement for the city owned property on Webford. He is asking for a 90 day extension to the contract due to some delays in processing his construction loans. Please click the link below to read about it.

Out of Town 7/16 till 7/30
I will be out of town for the next two weeks traveling with my Scout troop to hike at Philmont Scout Ranch in Nex Mexico. I will have NO access to email or phone calls until I return 7/30. Emails and phone calls will be returned in a timely manner when I get back.
