ARC Presents: Animal Control 101

The Cook County Department of Animal and Rabies Control is hosting an in-person educational workshop for animal control wardens and first responders featuring presenters from the Illinois Animal Control Association. 

The IACA workshop will review animal control laws in our state. Learn from experienced personnel about the enforcement of laws necessary for an animal control officer or warden. 

Curriculum covered in this presentation includes:

  • The Animal Control Act
  • Conducting animal bite investigations
  • Declaring dogs dangerous/vicious
  • Safety for the ACO
  • Professionalism and customer service for the ACO
