In this issue: Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Supporting Successful Reentry & more

Domestic Violence Awareness Month

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month-- a time when leaders, advocates, survivors and communities come together to educate and raise awareness as well as advocate for policies, practices and programs that address forms of gender-based violence including domestic and intimate partner violence.

The JAC recently joined County and non-profit leaders to acknowledge Domestic Violence Awareness Month and announce nearly $5 million in grant awards under the Cook County Domestic Violence Intervention and Support Services initiative. Watch the press conference or learn more here

Supporting Successful Reentry in Cook County

Cook County is committed to increasing access to services that support returning residents as they navigate the transition from incarceration, home to their communities. The JAC is leading this work through engaging with stakeholders, advancing policies and developing reentry initiatives.
