Cook County and ComEd host Equitable Recovery Webinar Tomorrow!

Tuesday, June 23rd from 3:00-4:30 pm

Leaders from across Cook County will explore equitable economic recovery, discussing key opportunities and resources for municipal economic development leaders. These speakers will share insights into Cook County’s Economic Recovery Plan, COVID-19 Response, Illinois' Small Business Administration Program, and a future economic forecast. Attendees will also have an opportunity to participate in live Q&A.

National Association of Counties (NACo) Awards our Work

The National Association of Counties (NACo) is an organization representing county governments in the United States. Recently, Cook County was recognized with nine Achievement Awards from the NACo.  The awards honor innovative, effective county government programs that strengthen services for residents.


Two of the nine honors were awarded to the Bureau of Economic Development for outstanding work in Housing and Economic Development.

Save the Date: Loan Forgiveness Webinar (Spanish Only) on June 25, 2020 at 11:00 AM

Bureau of Economic Development and National Partnership for New Americans will host a webinar in Spanish on loan forgiveness, reviewing the revised loan forgiveness form, and the latest information on the funds available for the Paycheck Protection Program.  Registration information will be posted on our website

Cook County Community Recovery Fund Update

Applications for the $10 million Community Recovery Fund are now closed. More than 2,000 applicants seeking approximately $38 million in loans applied for this program. In the coming weeks, our loan partners will process and review applications. Updates on loan eligibility, application status, and other information will be provided in the coming weeks. If you have other questions about the fund, please submit them here.
