WCC’s men’s basketball team continued its winning streak to nine games, with a 96-85 win at Kishwaukee College.
Pat Robinson, Zachariah Hayslett, and Malik Petty were amongst those players who helped lead the Chiefs to victory.

Batavia High School football celebrated their IHSA 7A 2nd place state finish earlier this month. The BPS 101 community came together to celebrate the team ahead of the Batavia High School tree lighting!
The Rosary Beads won the IHSA State Swim Championship on Saturday, November 16, making this their second IHSA State win in two years!

The Eagles Boys Basketball team won the Thanksgiving Championship late last month. Students Jordan Weeks and Presten Morel led in scoring with 12 points.

Congratulations to the 2024 Kaneland Basketball Freshmen Team for winning the Marengo Tournament!
Three Spartan athletes were named to the 2024 NCAA Division III Men’s Soccer All-Region Teams, as announced by the United Soccer Coaches (USC). Enrique Gonzalez and Jaziel Enriquez were named on the First-Team in Region VIII and Branden Dolezal was a Fourth-Team selection.

Regan Konen of Marmion Academy has been awarded a full tuition scholarship to play Division 1 Golf at Marquette University. Regan is a two-time IHSA 2A State Golf Champion and winner of the Chicago Catholic League Tony Lawless Player of the Year Award. He was recently recognized at Aurora’s City Council meeting. Congrats!

West Aurora High School student Pacifique Ndayishimiye was named the 2024 Beacon-News/Courier-News Boys Soccer Player of the Year!
This prestigious honor reflects his exceptional talent, hard work, and dedication on and off the field. Pacifique’s performances led him and his teammate to the sectional finals and brought pride to the entire West Aurora Community.

323 Indian Prairie School District 204 students participated in this year’s Illinois Music Education Association District 9 festivals.
119 middle school students took part in the Junior Festival—23 in band, 54 in choir, and 42 in orchestra—while 204 high school students took part in the Senior Festival. 34 high school students competed in band, 82 in choir, 56 in orchestra, 12 in jazz band, and 20 in vocal jazz ensemble.
