Schedule Release: The City of Lights Film Festival!
The City of Aurora is excited to unveil the 2024 City of Lights Film Festival schedule of events!
On Friday, November 8, doors open at 6:30 P.M. at Two Brothers Roundhouse! Grab a drink, walk the red carpet, and rub elbows with fellow film folk during the evening's Social Hour. Ticket holders receive a single free draft beer or soft drink. At 7:15 P.M., the program begins in the Tavern Room. Settle in for an evening of panel discussions with local filmmakers and creators, and the screening of All Happy Families. From 9 P.M. onwards, boogie to our DJ as you gear up for a full day of film on Saturday!
On Saturday, November 9, you can take in a variety of short, feature, documentary, and narrative films at three different locations downtown. During each screening block's break, grab a bite or a coffee at any of downtown Aurora's restaurants! At 8 P.M., The Venue will host our closing night ceremony. Cole Bennett, founder of Lyrical Lemonade, will be on-site to speak to attendees about his rise in the music video directing sphere. From picking up a camera in Plano, IL and directing local hip-hop artists in Chicago, to directing major players in the game (Eminem, Jack Harlow, to name a few) -- Bennett will speak to his core love of film and the art of getting the shot right. Bennett will also present the Best In Music Video Award!
Join us for a weekend to remember, right here in downtown Aurora!
