Nettleton Gulch Fire

June 29, 2025, 10:00 p.m. PT

(Coeur d’Alene) – The Nettleton Gulch fire was reported today at around 1:40 p.m. near the popular recreation area, Canfield Mountain, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

Idaho Department of Lands fire crews were unable to access the fire until it was deemed safe, at around 7:30 p.m. Crews estimate the fire to be about 15-20 acres, with numerous snags and steep terrain.

Additional resources including aircraft, heavy equipment, water tenders, engines, hand crews and a Type 3 Incident Management Team are on order and anticipated to work the fire tomorrow.

This cause of the fire remains under investigation. All wildfires under IDL protection are investigated.
