Location: East of Kendrick, Idaho
Estimated Size: 1,352 acres
Current situation:
Evacuations for the Cedar Ridge, Texas Ridge, Linden, all the way down Highway 3 and across the river are still in effect. P1 and Texas Ridge remain closed. Evacuations are being handled by the Latah County Sheriff’s office with the assistance of Latah County Emergency Management. For more information regarding the evacuations go to:

Four primary residences have been lost.
The fire remains at 0% containment. Crews worked yesterday to develop containment lines along the fire perimeter. This work was aided with aircraft support. Crews will continue working on containment lines and locating optimal locations to construct new lines.
A chance of thunderstorms is predicted within the fire area today. These storms may produce gusty winds and dry lightning.
The fire remains under investigation.
The incoming Incident Management Team has arrived and is being briefed on the current situation. They will take command of the fire tomorrow July 18, 2024, at 6:00 A.M. PT.
